Privacy Policy

Account details. When you sign in with email, Google, or Facebook, we receive your email address and, where the provider supplies it, your display name and profile picture. We never receive or store your password for those providers.

Content you create. The characters, story choices, and generated stories and illustrations you make in the app are stored so you can return to them later.

Technical data. Standard server logs such as IP address and browser type, kept for security and troubleshooting.

We use your data to authenticate you, save and display the stories you create, generate new story text and illustrations at your request, and keep the service secure. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

We rely on a small number of processors to run the service: Supabase for authentication and database storage, Google and Meta for optional social sign-in, and AI providers to generate story text and images from the prompts you supply. Story prompts are sent to these AI providers solely to produce your content.

Shape Your Tale is designed to be used by adults together with children. Accounts are intended for adults. We do not knowingly create accounts for children under 13, and we ask that you avoid entering a child's full name, address, school, or other identifying details when creating characters.

We keep your account and stories until you ask us to remove them. You can request deletion of your account and all associated content at any time by emailing lefosm@gmail.com. We will action the request within 30 days.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or erase your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Contact us at the address above to exercise any of these rights.

If we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
