Shape Your Tale lets you design a character and then generates an illustrated fairytale around the choices you make. The text and pictures are produced by AI models at the moment you ask for them, which means every story is unique and no two runs produce identical results.

Creating a character is free, and every new account gets 2 free credits to start its first story. Beyond that, Shape Your Tale runs on credits: each page of a story, including its illustration, costs 1 credit to generate. When you run out mid-story, you can buy a credit pack to keep going — pages you have already generated stay yours to read and download either way.

You need an account to create stories, and you must be at least 18 to open one. Shape Your Tale is made for adults to use together with children, so please keep your sign-in details to yourself and let us know at lefosm@gmail.com if you think somebody else has used your account.

What you create is yours. You keep the rights to the characters and stories you make, and you may read them aloud, print them, and share them with family and friends. You also grant us the limited permission we need to store your stories and show them back to you inside the app.

You are responsible for what you type into the app. Please do not enter other people's personal details, and do not ask for content that is unlawful, hateful, sexual, or that depicts real people in ways they have not agreed to. We may remove content that breaks this rule and, if it keeps happening, close the account behind it.

Because stories are generated by AI, we cannot promise they will be free of oddities, factual mistakes, or unintended similarities to existing works. Please read a story before sharing it with a child.

Credits are sold in one-off packs — Starter (€4.99 for 10 credits), Storyteller (€9.99 for 25 credits), and Family Treasury (€19.99 for 60 credits). Your very first pack is half price; every pack after that is full price. There is no subscription: a pack is a single payment and the credits it contains do not expire.

All prices shown are the total you pay, including VAT, so the amount at checkout is the amount that leaves your account.

Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Once your payment succeeds we issue an invoice to the email address on your order.

If you are a consumer in the EU you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract without giving a reason.

A credit pack is digital content that we deliver immediately, the moment your payment succeeds. So before you pay, we ask you to confirm at checkout that:

• you expressly request that we begin delivery straight away, before the 14-day withdrawal period has ended, and
• you acknowledge that once delivery has begun you lose your right of withdrawal.

Ticking that box at checkout gives that consent. These terms are the written confirmation of it, and we record your acceptance alongside your order.

If you would rather keep your withdrawal right, simply do not complete the purchase. Your 2 free signup credits stay available either way.

The waiver above is not a licence for us to keep money we have not earned. We will refund you in full if you were charged twice for the same pack, if you were charged by mistake, or if something broke on our side and the credits you paid for never landed in your account and we could not put it right.

Write to lefosm@gmail.com within 30 days of the payment and tell us what happened. We send refunds back to the original payment method, normally within five working days of agreeing to one. Credits are consumed as you generate pages with them; a credit already spent on a page is not refundable, so where we refund a pack we claw back only the credits from it that are still unspent.

We do not give refunds simply because a generated story was not to your taste. That is what the free signup credits are for: try the first couple of pages before deciding whether to buy more.

We want your stories to stay available, but we cannot promise the service will never be down, and the AI providers we depend on can change or fail. We may add, change, or remove features over time. If we ever have to shut the service down we will give you notice and a chance to download the pages you have generated.

You can stop using Shape Your Tale whenever you like and ask us to delete your account and content, as described in our Privacy Policy.

We are responsible to you for foreseeable loss and damage that we cause by breaking this agreement or by failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, and nothing here limits any right you have as a consumer under the law of your country, including your rights when digital content is faulty.

If we change these terms we will update the date at the top of this page. The version you accepted at checkout is the one that governs that purchase, so a later change cannot alter a story you have already bought.

This agreement is governed by the law of [ADD YOUR COUNTRY]. As a consumer you may also rely on the protections of the country you live in, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.

If something has gone wrong, please email lefosm@gmail.com first — most problems are quicker to fix directly. If we cannot agree, EU consumers can use the European Commission's consumer redress tools to find an out-of-court dispute resolution body.
